Bruce F. Burton was born in Philadelphia and cared for by two loving parents who instilled in him the value of  “wanting for others as he wants for himself.” In 1994, he became a barber, and in 1996 he became an entrepreneur. Bruce F. Burton is the owner of The Original Pretty Boyz Barber Shop, and his mindset was not just to give out great haircuts but to also empower the community that he was going to serve. He worked diligently to make ‘Pretty Boyzz” a destination. Today clients travel from all parts of the Tri-State area and from abroad. Mr. Burton has been a pillar of his community which earned him awards the Governor’s Award; Exemplary Citizen Award from the NAACP, Citations from The House of Representatives and the Senate and a plethora of other awards and citations. Bruce F. Burton is still nowhere near the finish line of empowering others.
